Petrie is a 21 week old German Shepherd puppy who has a rare condition called a Persistent Right Aortic Arch (PRAA). This condition causes starvation, dehydration and a plethora of other medical problems. He cannot take in anything by mouth, aside from a couple laps of water every 1-2 hours. He is fed, hydrated and medicated every 6-8 hours through his stomach tube.
As soon as his team gets the 'go ahead' from his surgeon, Petrie will embark on a pretty big surgery to remove the tissue that is trapping his esophagus. He will hopefully be able to go on and lead a fairly normal, happy, spoiled-rotten German Shepherd life.
Let's show this little cutie some major love, and see how fast we can raise the funds to cover his life-saving surgery! Every dollar counts!
