Jeremih Transferred Out Of ICU Amid COVID-19 Recovery

Jeremih is on the road to recovery after a scary battle with COVID-19.

The 33-year-old singer appears to be on the mend as he's since been transferred out of the intensive care unit, according to a health update his family provided to TMZ this Saturday (November 21).

"Jeremih has been transferred out of ICU. He will spend the rest of his recovery time in a regular hospital room,” the family told the celebrity gossip outlet. “The true healing begins. Thank you all for your prayers and wishes.”

This hopeful update is the latest we’ve heard regarding Jeremih’s life-threatening brush with coronavirus. The good news comes days after the artist's agent told Variety on Thursday, "J was just pulled off the ventilator. He’s still in ICU in critical condition. Please keep him in your prayers."

As fans know, reports of the “Birthday Sex” star falling ill with the novel virus came earlier this month when his famous friends 50 Cent and Chance the Rapper took to social media to imploring for prayers for the R&B musician's well-being.

"Pray for my boy @jeremih he's not doing good this covid s— is real 🙏🏿 he’s in ICU in Chicago," 50 Cent wrote with his “Down on Me” contributor at the time. The New York rapper later added in another update, "Thank you for 🙏🏿 for my boy Jeremih he is responsive today, doing a little better."

Chance, a fellow Chicagoan like Jeremih, tweeted, "Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he's ill right now.”

Jeremih is one of the latest in a long line of celebrities to have contracted COVID-19, so we’re wishing him a safe and speedy recovery.
