Jeezy is taking legal action against his former managers after they allegedly cheated him out of his earnings over the years.
According to a report TMZ published on Monday, February 24, the "Seen It All" rapper, born Jay Jenkins, filed a lawsuit against his former manager Solomon Fornie and his former business manager Eddie Bridgeman. Fornie worked for Jeezy as his manager for 10 years before they joined forces to launch Agency 99. Their company's prime goals were to promote Jeezy's brands and initiatives while overseeing his income as an artist. Bridgeman's company, The Sai Sai Group, was brought in later to handle Agency 99's finances.
Things seemed to be going well until Jeezy found out that Bridgeman was not a licensed CPA. The Atlanta native reportedly got flustered and tried to cut ties with both Bridgeman and Fornie. Unfortunately, Jeezy's former business partners allegedly made it difficult for him to access his own financial records and books. Since he's not able to do much without those records, Jeezy is suing Bridgeman and Fornie in order to force them to turn over all files and records related to his finances. He's also seeking unspecified damages.
Jeezy's latest lawsuit adds to the overwhelming legal issues he's been dealing with. He and his ex-wife Jeannie Mai finalized their divorce after they agreed on the terms of their settlement. The deal requires Jeezy to cover daycare costs, pay school tuition, and deposit $500,000 in a bank account for their daughter Monaco. He also agreed to transfer titles for two cars to Mai and pay four months of her rent. However, Mai told a judge in September that Jeezy had yet to fulfill his part of the deal.
As of this report, Bridgeman and Fornie have yet to comment on Jeezy's allegations.
