Lil Wayne is set to perform at the halftime show for one of the biggest melees of the year.
On Monday, February 2, Clash Royale announced the New Orleans native as its official headliner for the halftime show during its anticipated battle this week. According to a press release, Weezy will deliver a rare version of his smash hit "A Milli" at the Clash Royale Arena, while surrounded by "the game's hulking Giants, mischievous Goblins and sharp-shooting Musketeers." Players will get a front-row seat to the action as soon as the show begins at 9 p.m. EST.
“Music, sports, and gaming all in one place - y’all know how much I love being at the center of the culture," Wayne said in a statement. "I’m turning the Clash Royale Arena into the most lit concert of the week, tap in February 6th to see what we got in store for y’all.”
The performance will take place over a year after Weezy's clash with the NFL over their choice for the Super Bowl halftime show headliner. In 2024, Roc Nation and the NFL announced Kendrick Lamar as the lead performer for Super Bowl LVIII in New Orleans. He was so upset by their choice that he didn't even attend the big game that year. His reaction sparked some fierce bars from Lamar, who alluded to the situation in his song "wacc'd out murals" on his award-winning album GNX.
