Drake Changes his Mind After Hinting A Round 2 with Kendrick Lamar

Drake may have referred to his exchanges with Kendrick Lamar as just a "good exercise" and stepped back from the rivalry, but he seems eager for another round. A lot of his new material from "100 GIGS," including songs and videos, reflects on his position in the rap scene amidst various conflicts this year. Additionally, his activity on his Instagram burner account, @plottttwistttttt, suggests he is feeling quite confident. He even shared a Story featuring Rasheed Wallace stating, "We will win Game 2," which sparked excitement among fans. DJ Akademiks echoed this sentiment in a tweet on Monday, August 26. However, Drake quickly deleted this Instagram Story, leaving fans of both Kendrick Lamar and OVO speculating about his intentions. Some OVO supporters believe he may eventually reveal footage of him planning and sharing insights with K.Dot during their past exchanges, as mentioned in "The Heart Part 6." Others think this isn't about a rematch but rather Drake's determination to rise above his competition while still achieving great success. Although he seems to have pulled back from discussing "Game 2," the message he conveyed was strong. Regarding "100 GIGS," he has also been dropping older videos as new content, including clips from Kanye West at OVO Fest in 2013 and a moment with J. Cole buying CDs upon the release of "Born Sinner."

At the same time, there are speculations that Kendrick Lamar might be releasing new material soon, but it's unclear if it will involve Drake. Some fans believe Kendrick would be willing to engage again, especially since Drake is currently feeling bold online, despite deleting that specific post. Others argue that Kendrick might choose to remain silent, suggesting that silence can be quite powerful. Time will tell.
