Single and ready to misrepresent. A new survey on dating apps has confirmed what we've all known for a long time -- that people lie about themselves in their profiles. The survey questioned 2,000 single Americans and found that 47% say they intentionally lie and misrepresent themselves on dating apps, and men do it more than women (51% to 44%). The most common thing love-seekers lie about, oddly enough, is their hair (61%). Second on the list is lying about their career (55%). The survey also found that about 25% of people lie about their height.
